Discounted or Waived Article Processing Charges for Researchers

The library has a number of agreements with publishers who discount or waive article processing charges (APCs) for participating institutions. This includes the following:

Cambridge University Press

Eckerd College is part of the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF) consortium, which maintains an agreement with Cambridge University Press. This agreement allows faculty to publish open access in gold and hybrid journals with discounted or waived Article Processing Charge. American Chemical Society (ACS)

Our ACS All Publications Package allows faculty to publish research in any ACS journal under a CC BY open access license free of charge. Just select Eckerd College. See instructions for your next submission to ACS.

Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP)

The American Physical Society (APS) has joined the highly regarded SCOAP3 Open Access program for journal articles in particle physics. Authors of particle physics papers in APS journals will not have to pay Article Processing Charges since support is provided by the library community. View list of publications.
