MK 374 - Market Research: Demographics Research

Research Guide created for Professor Khare's Spring 2022 Market Research Course

Dated Data???

Does your data seem like it is a couple of years behind? That's because it often is!

Do not worry, though. While you might want the most recent data, chances are you are finding it using some of the resources you are learning about.

Then why is it a couple years old?

First, this data is usually not collected every single year. That means there might not be more recent data available. The U.S. census is conducted every 10 years. 2020 is a census year!

Second, once data is collected, it can take a long time to sort, organize, and publish it all. There is always a delay between data collection and publication.
