PsycNET's Author LookUp tool will help you find:

• primary sources written by your theorist, and links to library copies, if available
• list of studies referencing the original articles, for use in application example

1. Click the PsycNET link above or go to PsycNET from the Library homepage > Databases > PsycNET.
Click the Author LookUp tool in PsycNET (on right)

2. Search for the name of your theorist and add them to the search.  

3. Add keywords related to the development theory of interest, e.g. aging

4. Review results and note the following:

• Articles with a high number of citations were more influential.  Review these articles as others with fewer Cited by #s may be too specific.
• Click the link to Cited by # will show you a list of articles citing this source.  These may be candidates for your example empirical study showing application of the theory
• Click the Full Text from Eckerd link to see if Eckerd has a copy available online or in print.  If not, it should show you a link to request the item through our Interlibrary Loan system.

Use the following call numbers to browse books in the library that you can check out.   Books with call numbers A-G are on the 1st floor, call numbers H-Z are on the 2nd floor.
