Research assets tutorial:
Working with Research Assets (9 - 10 min)
Assets consist of publications, events, conference programs, and other outputs resulting from a program or created by a researcher.
Add assets: Research > Deposit Research Asset
Search for assets in Alma Admin: Search bar > Research Assets
View assets in Eckerd Scholar: Search bar or by Researcher or Org Unit
Required fields:
Researcher - select faculty researcher. If missing, contact Library admins to add.
Academic Unit - this should automatically bring in the Researchers Academic Unit.
Presentation title - title that will be visible on Eckerd Scholar website
Recommended fields & formatting tips:
File or Link - you can choose to upload recordings (which can be tracked by views) or add a link to where the recording is hosted (views not tracked).
Choose relevant Access Rights Policy.
Open - Preferred. Visible to anyone. Consider informing Author/Creator that recording will be openly available.
Embargo - visible after a certain date.
Restricted - limited to certain groups only.
Closed - not openly available.
Content type - choose the relevant content type associated with the file. This let’s the user know what they will be seeing when they click the link. If a content type is not listed, contact Library admin to add.
Creator - add Researcher.
Add Role - If a role is not listed, contact Library admin to add.
Contributors - add any relevant programs, departments and their role. If a role is not listed, contact Library admin to add. For example:
Eckerd Inspired, Role: Sponsor
Research Bites, Role: Speaker Series
SKIP Date Type and Date of event - this adds a duplicate date. Add date under Event Details (next) instead.
Event Details
Event date - date of event
Event Location - this might be Eckerd College, conference location
Event Type - indicate if Virtual or In-person

Abstract
Research topics - choose from pre-defined categories
Additional keywords - add your own keywords and phrases
