The Eckerd College Library serves the students, faculty and staff of Eckerd College with professional research assistance and access to scholarly research materials as well as newspapers, films, eBooks, and more.
The library includes a 24/7 computer lab, 17 group study rooms, printers, copiers, book scanners, and expert assistance from reference librarians The Faculty Lounge (maintained by the Office of the Dean of Faculty) is also on the 2nd floor.
The library tries to obtain all requested titles to support academic programs, within the available budget. Your Collegial Liaison Librarian can assist you in identifying titles in your research area.

If you would like a librarian to teach your students how to do research, use the request form below or email your collegial librarian. Tell us about your assignment and we will tailor the instruction session to your needs.
Course texts can be placed on temporary reserve each semester to provided in-library use access to readings. This helps to ensure that readings are available for students in the class.
Use the link below to submit a request. Requests will be processed for reserve Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items submitted on Friday afternoon will be processed the following Monday and may not be available until Tuesday or Wednesday. Due to the volume of material placed on reserve, particularly at the beginning of the semester, the Library cannot offer same day or rush requests. Please submit reserve requests a minimum of 48 hours prior to when students will need them.
