An organization which promotes tourism in Tampa/Hillsborough County. Interns would assist public relations division in working with travel writers who come to town, coordinate interviews and visits around the area. Interns would also develop press releases, maintain mailing lists, work directly with representatives of the local travel industry and track publicity generated in trade and consumer publications. Sound stage and high-end film support equipment center. Manufacturers of the film industry standard in cranes and dollies. Orlando Magic Basketball Team 
Internships are available in many areas, including advertising, broadcasting/ production, broadcasting/radio, coaching, community relations, corporate sponsorship sales, youth foundation, promotions, publicity/media relations, and talent network. Must apply for internship 2-3 months in advance. Please send: resume, cover letter, a one-page statement outlining why you want to work with the Magic and what qualities you feel you can offer. For broadcast, also send a demo tape, list of three references and a list of all production experience. Must specify which semester you are interested in. Responsibilities vary. Mote Marine Laboratory 
A nonprofit marine research facility dedicated to marine and environmental science and education. Laboratory has tanks and aquariums, which house fish and mammals from the sea. Interns will design and create promotional material to promote the lab, write releases for public media and other public relations duties. Located in Sarasota, approximately 50 miles from campus. Small office in medium-size company. 

St. Petersburg

Channel 10 WTSP/CBS Affiliate 
Local CBS-TV affiliate with strong news department. Internships offered in a variety of areas, including news, local programming, and advertising. Located on St. Pete side of Gandy Bridge, approximately 10 miles from campus. Medium to large-size business. 

Channel 44 WTOG, Independent 
Independent TV station featuring local programming, news, and sports. Internships are available in a variety of areas, including public relations, news, sports, sports programming, advertising, and local programming. Located on St. Pete side of Gandy Bridge, approximately 10 miles from campus. Medium-size business. 

Earl Palmer Brown 
A full-service advertising agency. Internships are available in print, broadcast and public relations. Located in downtown St. Pete, approximately 16 miles from campus. Medium-size business. 

Paragon Cable 
Advertising department. Intern would receive experience with: client prospecting, proposals, client meetings, finances, scriptwriting, commercial shoots, demographic research, and office procedure. Located on the other side of Howard Franklin Bridge, approximately 12 miles from campus. Small to medium-size business. 

Zephyrhills

WPAS-AM and WBSB-FM Radio 
Radio station. Intern would be involved in on-air broadcasts, production and sales. Located 30 miles from campus. Small-size business.
